Hope Collaborative brings Child Abuse Awareness to the Library

This month, Riverside County Library System along with The Hope Collaborative are bringing awareness to child abuse. Library branches across the county, including La Quinta, will feature special displays all April long to bring awareness to this issue as well as the resources that are available to help those in need.
In 2013 The Hope Collaborative was appointed the Child Abuse Prevention Council (CAPC) for Riverside County. Their mission is to promote the safety of children and prevent abuse and neglect throughout Riverside County.

The Hope Collaboration offers free educational workshops for children, parents and professionals including, but not limited to: Mandated Reporter Training (for professionals), Internet Safety (for children and parents), Understanding Bullying (for children, professionals, and parents).

In addition to their workshops, The Hope Collaboration also offers direct services to abuse survivors. They work with “Riverside County Treatment Providers Network” to provide funding for treatment services. The Hope Collaboration also offers Child Abuse Treatment Program (CHAT) to children between the ages of 2 ½ to 17 years of age who have been impacted indirectly, or directly by child abuse.

The Hope Collaboration also offers resources to the public from a Coronavirus Anxiety Workbook to Safety Planning when trying to Escape Domestic Violence. Find the full list of resources here along with a full list of resources within Riverside County here.
